# Accent color

The **Caards** theme allows you to customize the accent color used throughout the site. This setting controls the main highlight color applied to elements like buttons, links, and interactive components.

Follow the steps below to access the accent color setting:

### Access Ghost Admin

* Log in to your Ghost Admin at `yoursite.com/ghost`

### Navigate to Design Settings

* Go to **Settings** > **Site** > **Design & branding** `yoursite.com/ghost/#/settings/design`
* Click the **"Customize"** button to open the theme editor.

### Open Theme Settings

* Locate the **Accent color** option under the **Site wide** section.

### Available Options

* **Theme** *(default)* - Uses the default accent color of the theme.
* **Ghost** - Syncs the accent color with the value set in **Settings** > **Site** > **Design & branding** > **Brand** > **Accent color**. This ensures consistency between your site’s theme and Ghost’s native elements, such as Portal and comments.
