# Copyright

The **Caards** theme allows you to customize the copyright text displayed in the footer of your site.

By default, the footer shows: `© [year] [site name] – Published with Ghost and Caards`

Follow the steps below to change the copyright text:

### Access Ghost Admin

* Log in to your Ghost Admin at `yoursite.com/ghost`

### Navigate to Design Settings

* Go to **Settings** > **Site** > **Design & branding** `yoursite.com/ghost/#/settings/design`
* Click the **"Customize"** button to open the theme editor.

### Open Theme Settings

* Locate the **Footer copyright** option under the **Site wide** section.

### Enter Your Text

* Add your custom copyright text in the input field.

### Save Changes

* Click **"Save"** to apply the changes to your site.
