# Dark logo

The **Caards** theme allows you to upload a separate logo for dark mode to ensure your branding remains visible and consistent across all color schemes.

This logo will be used in the following cases:

* As the default logo when the **Dark** color scheme is selected.
* Automatically, when dark mode is enabled, either manually by the user or based on system preferences.

### Access Ghost Admin

* Log in to your Ghost Admin at `yoursite.com/ghost`

### Navigate to Design Settings

* Go to **Settings** > **Site** > **Design & branding** `yoursite.com/ghost/#/settings/design`
* Click the **"Customize"** button to open the theme editor.

### Open Theme Settings

* Locate the **Dark logo** option under the **Site wide** settings.

### Upload Your Dark Logo

* Click **"Upload logo"** and select the image to be used in dark mode.

### Save Changes

* Click **"Save"** to apply the changes.

To display the dark logo, a [Publication logo](/guides/caards/customization/logo.md) must be set. If no publication logo is uploaded, your site title will be used instead.
