# Drop caps

The **Drop caps** option lets you display a large, stylized first letter in the opening paragraph of a post — a classic typographic detail often used in editorial design.

This option is available **only for posts** and is disabled by default.

Follow the steps below to access the Drop caps setting:

### Access Ghost Admin

* Log in to your Ghost Admin at `yoursite.com/ghost`

### Navigate to Design Settings

* Go to **Settings** > **Site** > **Design & branding** `yoursite.com/ghost/#/settings/design`
* Click the **"Customize"** button to open the theme editor.

### Open Theme Settings

* Locate the **Enable drop caps** toggle under the **Post** section.

Toggle this option to enable or disable drop caps on the first paragraph of each post.
