# Accent color

The **Accent color** is a native Ghost feature used to highlight elements across your site. It controls the color of components like the portal, recommendations, comments, and certain editor cards.

Follow the steps below to access the accent color setting:

### Access Ghost Admin

* Log in to your Ghost Admin at `yoursite.com/ghost`

### Navigate to Design Settings

* Go to **Settings** > **Site** > **Design & branding** `yoursite.com/ghost/#/settings/design`
* Click the **"Customize"** button to open the editor.

### Pick a Color

* Under **Accent color** option and click the color picker icon to choose a new color.

### Save Changes

* Click **"Save"** to apply the new color to the site.

**Glide** applies the accent color to buttons, links, and other visual elements across the site. This option is available when using the **Light** or **Dark** [color schemes](https://docs.ektothemes.com/guides/glide/customization/site-wide/color-scheme), and requires the **"Ghost"** option to be selected in the [theme Accent color](https://docs.ektothemes.com/guides/glide/customization/site-wide/accent-color) settings.
