# Feature image

The **Feature image** option controls whether the main image appears on single post pages. It’s enabled by default—disable it if you want to hide the feature image at the top of the post.

This is useful for cleaner layouts or when using custom post designs.

Follow the steps below to access the Feature image setting:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Access Ghost Admin

* Log in to your Ghost Admin at `yoursite.com/ghost`
  {% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Navigate to Design Settings

* Go to **Settings** > **Site** > **Design & branding** `yoursite.com/ghost/#/settings/design`
* Click the **"Customize"** button to open the theme editor.
  {% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Open Theme Settings

* Locate the **Feature image** toggle under the **Post** section.
  {% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Save Changes

* Click **"Save"** to apply your changes to the site.
  {% endstep %}
  {% endstepper %}

Toggle this option to show or hide the feature image on post pages, regardless of the [template](/guides/glide/customization/post/template.md) in use.
