# Subscribe

The Subscribe section appears on the homepage and encourages visitors to join your email list. You can customize the **Style**, **Icon**, **Title**, and **Description** to create an effective call-to-action.

### Step-by-step:

Go to **"Design & branding"** in Ghost Admin and click **"Customize"**.

In the theme settings tab, find the **"Subscribe"** options under the **Homepage** section.

### Available options

* **Style** – Choose the subscribe layout style. Options: `Modern (default)`, `Classic`, `Hide`
* **Icon** – Displayed above the title and description. Default: Uses your [Publication icon](/guides/haas/customization/icon.md)
* **Title** – The main heading for the subscribe block. Default: `Stay in the loop.`
* **Description** – A short message explaining why visitors should subscribe. Default: `Sign up to receive updates and the latest news from [site-title].`

### Visibility rules

This section is displayed only when the Portal is active, not set to invite-only, the visitor is logged out, and the selected style is not **Hide**.
