# Icon

The Publication icon is a native Ghost feature used to visually identify your site. It appears in areas such as the [subscribe section](/guides/haas/customization/homepage/subscribe.md), portal, browser tab (*favicon*), and search results. You can replace the default Ghost icon with your own for better branding.

### Step-by-step:

Go to **"Design & branding"** in Ghost Admin and click **"Customize"**.

Under **"Publication icon"**, click **"Upload icon"** and select your file.
