# Drop caps

The Drop caps option displays a large, stylized first letter in the opening paragraph of a post — a classic editorial design detail. 

This option is available only for posts and is disabled by default.

### Step-by-step:

Go to **"Design & branding"** in Ghost Admin and click **"Customize"**.

In the theme settings tab, find the **"Enable drop caps"** toggle under the **Post** section.

Toggle the option **ON** or **OFF** to enable or disable drop caps in the first paragraph of each post.

Click **"Save"** to apply your changes.
