# Comments

Ghost includes a native comments system that allows members to leave comments on your posts. This theme supports comments out of the box — no additional setup or third-party tools are required.

### Setting up comments

You can control who is allowed to comment using Ghost’s global membership settings.

#### Step-by-step:

Go to **"Membership"** in Ghost Admin (**Settings** → **Membership**).

Under the **"Access"** section, choose who can comment:

* **Nobody**
* **All members**
* **Paid-members only**

Click **"Save"** to apply your settings.

### Visibility rules

Comments appear only on posts that the visitor has access to. If a post is restricted (e.g., *Members only*, *Paid-members only*, or *Specific tier*), the comments section will remain hidden until the visitor meets the access requirement.
