# Footer CTA

The Footer CTA section appears across the site and encourages visitors to take action, such as **joining your email list**, **getting in touch**, or **scheduling a call**. This flexible area helps you guide visitors toward meaningful engagement using a clear and focused message.

### Step-by-step:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Go to **"Design & branding"** in Ghost Admin and click **"Customize"**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
In the theme settings tab, find the **"Footer CTA"** option under the **Site-wide** section.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### Available options

* **Title** – The main heading shown in the Footer CTA. Default: `Join our mailing list for updates, announcements, and the latest creative work published through [site-title].`
* **CTA** – Opens the Ghost Portal and prompts visitors to subscribe or a [Custom CTA](/guides/lumi/customization/site-wide/custom-cta.md).

### Visibility rules

This section is displayed only when the **Portal is active and the visitor is logged out**, or **a** [**Custom CTA link**](/guides/lumi/customization/site-wide/custom-cta.md) **is defined**.
