# Accent color

The **Accent color** is a native Ghost feature used to highlight elements across your site. It controls the color of components like the portal, recommendations, comments, buttons, links and certain editor cards.

**Default color:** `#09090b`

Follow the steps below to access the accent color setting:

### Access Ghost Admin

* Log in to your Ghost Admin at `yoursite.com/ghost`

### Navigate to Design Settings

* Go to **Settings** > **Site** > **Design & branding** `yoursite.com/ghost/#/settings/design`
* Click the **"Customize"** button to open the editor.

### Pick a Color

* Under **Accent color** option and click the color picker icon to choose a new color.

### Save Changes

* Click **"Save"** to apply the new color to the site.

**Neue** applies the accent color to buttons, links, and other visual elements across the site. This option is available when using the **Light** or **Dark** [color schemes](https://docs.ektothemes.com/guides/neue/customization/site-wide/color-scheme).
