Social links

The Caards theme displays social links in the footer, organized separately from the navigation links.

Facebook and X

These two links are automatically pulled from the Social accounts settings in Ghost Admin.

Access Ghost Admin

• Log in to your Ghost Admin at yoursite.com/ghost

Navigate to Social Accounts

• Go to Settings > General settings > Social accounts yoursite.com/ghost/#/settings/social-accounts

Add Your Accounts

• Enter the full URL to your Facebook and/or X (Twitter) profile.

• Example: https://www.facebook.com/yourpage

Save Changes

• Click "Save" to apply your updates.

These links will now appear in the footer of your site.

Additional Social Icons

To display other social links, you can use the Secondary Navigation. These links will appear in the social links column of the footer.

Access Ghost Admin

• Log in to your Ghost Admin at yoursite.com/ghost

Navigate to Navigation Settings

• Go to Settings > Site > Navigation yoursite.com/ghost/#/settings/navigation

• Click the "Customize" button to open the editor.

Add Social Links to the Secondary Navigation

• In the Secondary section, add a new item.

• Set the Label to one of the supported names (see list below)

• Set the URL to your profile link (e.g., https://instagram.com/yourprofile)

Save Changes

• Click "Save" to apply your updates.

Supported Icon Labels

Use the exact names below as the label for each item in the Secondary Navigation:

Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, Snapchat, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Discord, Twitch, Steam, Tumblr, YouTube, Vimeo, GitHub, CodePen, Dribbble, Behance, Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, WeChat, Spotify, SoundCloud, Podcast, Last.fm, Patreon, RSS

Only the services listed above are supported. Links with unsupported labels will appear as regular navigation links.
