Social links

The Sense theme displays social icons in the footer, between the logo and the secondary navigation links.

Facebook and X

These two icons are automatically pulled from the Social accounts settings in Ghost Admin.

Access Ghost Admin

• Log in to your Ghost Admin at yoursite.com/ghost

Navigate to Social Accounts

• Go to Settings > General settings > Social accounts yoursite.com/ghost/#/settings/social-accounts

Add Your Accounts

• Enter the full URL to your Facebook and/or X (Twitter) profile.

• Example: https://www.facebook.com/yourpage

Save Changes

• Click "Save" to apply your updates.

These icons will now appear in the footer of your site.

Additional Social Icons

To display other social icons, you can use the Secondary Navigation. These icons will appear as part of the icon-only section of the footer.

Access Ghost Admin

• Log in to your Ghost Admin at yoursite.com/ghost

Navigate to Navigation Settings

• Go to Settings > Site > Navigation yoursite.com/ghost/#/settings/navigation

• Click the "Customize" button to open the editor.

Add Social Links to the Secondary Navigation

• In the Secondary section, add a new item.

• Set the Label to one of the supported names (see list below)

• Set the URL to your profile link (e.g., https://instagram.com/yourprofile)

Save Changes

• Click "Save" to apply your updates.

Supported Icon Labels

Use the exact names below as the label for each item in the Secondary Navigation:

Facebook, X, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, Snapchat, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Discord, Twitch, Steam, Tumblr, YouTube, Vimeo, GitHub, CodePen, Dribbble, Behance, Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, WeChat, Spotify, SoundCloud, Podcast, Last.fm, RSS

Only the icons listed above are supported. Custom labels or unsupported services will appear in the secondary navigation as regular text links, without icons.
